Dr. Israel Palchan, the author, was born and raised in the former Soviet Union. He was one of the first Hebrew teachers in Moscow. After immigrating to Israel in 1972, he received his Ph. D. from the Hebrew University, Jerusalem.  Dr. Palchan has published a number of Hebrew learning books for new immigrants being sold in the USA, Russia and Israel. The books are printed in several languages and have received critical acclaim by world-renowned linguists from the Academy of Hebrew Language and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. The IP Hebrew phrasebook has become the choice for English-speaking students and travelers throughout the world who are looking to learn the basics quickly and easily.
